Lakota Leson

"Ina" you know as "mom", in reality Ina literally translates to The Most Honorable.
Here's 3 terms you can understand fully from now on.
(Ee•Nah): Ina-The Most Honorable
(Ah•tay): Ate-The Protector
(WEen•yań): Winyan-Holy Mother Goddess

Lakota language is way more complex than most of us currently understand. Example:
•The father's job is to provide and protect his family earning him the title Ate.
•The mothers role is to be the epitome of all that is honorable in the eyes of her children as well as all children earning her the prestige of Ina.
•The women are the care takers of one of the most holiest gifts. They are able to bring Spirit and transform it into a physical being while giving of themselves to shape how this new being looks, acts, and thinks. This earns females the supreme title Winyan. Remember these 3 are not simply, Mom, Dad, or Woman.
