Rhythm
"There is an intimate relationship between rhythm and balance. In Mickey
Hart's Drumming at the Edge of Magic, the Nigerian drummer, Babatunde
Olatunji, describes the capacity of drumming to create realignment
within the human system: "Where I come from
we say that rhythm is the soul of life, because the whole universe
revolves around rhythms, and when we get out of rhythm, that's when we
get into trouble. For this reason, the drum, next to the human voice,
is the most important instrument. It's very special."

Receive Life
"It
is with the sun, the moon, the earth we receive life to continue... You
take one away, existence is no more. Take care of the land, the water
and respect the sun and the moon. For the balance is being disrupted by
greed. We hold the future in our hands" William Hawk

The Unknown Teachings of Lao Tsu
"If we wish to attain oneness with the Tao, let us not caught up in spiritual superficialities. Instead, let's live a quiet and simple life, free of ideas and concepts; find contentment in the practice of undiscriminating virtue, the only true power. Giving to others selflessly and anonymously, radiating light through the world and illuminating your own darkness,
your virtue becomes a sanctuary for yourself and all beings. This is what is meant by embodying the Tao." -- Brian Walker's translation of Hua Hu Ching: The Unknown Teachings of Lao Tsu (#47)
